ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Financial Controller, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing the financial operations, reporting and governance across the business. Reporting to the CFO, you will act as a trusted partner to senior leadership, providing accurate financial insights, strengthening controls and supporting strategic decision-making.
This role combines strong technical accounting expertise with commercial acumen, requiring a hands-on approach to managing financial reporting, compliance, and team leadership. You will also drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and reporting to support business growth and scalability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee monthly financial reporting and executive reporting packs
- Ensure accuracy of management accounts, statutory reporting and tax compliance
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
- Provide financial insights and support commercial decision-making
- Manage treasury, cash flow and financial risk
- Lead and develop the finance team
ABOUT YOU
- CA/CPA qualified (7+ years post qualification)
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role
- Strong technical accounting expertise
- Retail or multi-site experience desirable
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
