Domestic Textile Corporation is looking for a vibrant and dynamic Showroom Coordinator to support our team whilst demonstrating your ability to drive sales.
Our Hawthorn Showroom offers a large range of boutique brands of fabrics and wallpapers supplying to designers, architects, specifiers, and retailers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Showroom Presentation & Maintenance
- Ensure the showroom and window displays are consistently presented to the highest standards.
- Regularly update visual displays in coordination with the National Sales Manager.
- Manage and maintain showroom books, hangers, and sample inventory, discarding discontinued items and updating accordingly.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing clients; maintain accurate client data in NAV and the showroom database.
- Maintain a client list to proactively manage repeat visitors and achieve sales targets.
- Provide product advice and support to clients, designers, architects, and specifiers.
- Communicate new collections and updates via email; maintain a visitor log.
Sales & Support Activities
- Support the National Sales Manager and VIC/TAS Account Manager with client needs and showroom activities.
- Organize and assist with showroom events, overseas principal visits, and product launches.
- Action client cutting requests and manage sample orders and replenishment for VIC, SA, and WA.
Logistics & Administration
- Pick, pack, and log orders received from Europe/UK.
- Provide backup reception and admin support for the national team and DTC colleagues.
- Assist with DTC enquiries, order processing, proformas, shipment tracking, invoicing, and supplier liaison.
- Maintain and upload updated price lists to the DTC website and iPad syncing.
- Dispatch DTC materials and provide overflow support for Customer Service when needed.
ABOUT YOU
Our ideal candidate for our new Showroom Coordinator will have:
- Experience in the Soft furnishing Industry important but not mandatory
- Customer Service and administrative experience in Word and Excel.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the NAV system for order enquiries – will be provided as onsite training.
